Outward bills for collection	Outward bills for collection are also known as bills for collection abroad. If you are an exporter wishing to entrust BOV with the collection of your export receivables with bills for collection, you will provide us with a set of commercial documents that the importer requires to claim the merchandise and clear it through customs.The documents are submitted together with instructions on how the documents are to be released. Bills negotiated facility	If you are an exporter seeking post-export financing against your exports, you may be offered a bills negotiated facility. This consists of bank advances against export collections for a period of credit.BOV relies on the party required to make the payment to meet their obligations upon maturity of the bill of exchange, so a security margin is applied on the bill’s face value.See the bills for collection overview for more details.
Discounting	BOV can provide finance against export collection bills when there is evidence of the movement of the related goods and a high probability that they will be paid.If you’d like to make use of this facility, you’ll be asked to provide details about the importer to allow BOV to obtain a status report from the paying party’s bankers.
Inward bills for collection	We provide same service for importers who are BOV customers. If you are an importer who chooses bills for collection to settle your imports, you’ll be asked to provide the counterparty with your banking details in Malta.The supplier may or may not use BOV services to send the documents on collection basis.
