Owners draw Starting Numbers for BOV Tazza l-Kbira
The excitement is building as owners of horses who have qualified for the final of the BOV Tazza l-Kbira gathered together for the official draw of starting numbers for the highly anticipated final scheduled for the race meeting to be held on the 13th April 2025. The draw ensures a fair and transparent allocation of starting positions for all participating horses.
The event saw the owners eagerly awaiting their post positions, which play a crucial role in race strategy and performance. The draw process, which guarantees that each horse has an equal opportunity, was presided over by Malta Equidrome CEO Dr Matthew Brincat and BOV Chief Operations Officer Ernest Agius in the presence of Malta Racing Club Vice President Tony Demanuele and EquestiMalta CEO Max Zammit.
“After intense competition in the preliminary rounds and semifinals, 12 horses have successfully advanced to the final from an initial field of 79 contenders, all from the premier category,’ said the Malta Equidrome CEO. ‘We are now looking forward to see which horse will emerge as the winner during an event that promises entertainment for all the family besides the spectacle of horse racing itself.’

The final of the BOV Tazza l-Kbira will be held during the race meeting of the 13th April 2025 and will feature a spectacle of horse racing, an entertainment programme that includes a classic car show with the participation of ‘Rotta’. The traditional parade of the participating finalists being led by four past winners of the race, Overtaker by Sib (2017), Up and Go (2019), Antoine du Bourg (2021) and Crack Money (2023)
