Mapfre Msv Life is offering a special limited-time incentive for customers looking to take a more proactive approach to retirement planning. Customers who take up a new Mapfre Msv Life Unit Linked Personal Pension Plan through any BOV Branch or Investment Centre will benefit from a one-time top-up equivalent to their monthly contribution (or the pro-rata equivalent for other payment frequencies), up to a maximum of €200.
The top-up will be deposited into the customer’s Mapfre Msv Life Unit Linked Personal Pension Plan 14 months after the plan’s commencement date by Mapfre Msv Life, provided that the first 12 consecutive monthly savings contributions have been paid and allocated. This top-up is not transferable.
Commenting on the offer, Alex Bezzina, Head of Insurance Services and Pensions at Bank of Valletta, highlighted the growing awareness among customers about long-term financial well-being. “More people are recognising that retirement planning is not simply about preparing for later life but about giving themselves greater financial confidence and flexibility for the future, today. The Msv Life Unit Linked Personal Pension Plan enables customers to build a retirement portfolio that reflects their personal goals, while benefiting from a solution that can adapt to their changing needs over time," he said.
The Plan offers customers a high degree of flexibility. Policyholders may switch between funds up to twice a year at no charge and can invest across up to ten different funds simultaneously. This allows customers to adapt their investment strategy over time and maintain greater control over how their retirement savings are managed.
The Mapfre Msv Life Unit Linked Personal Pension Plan allows customers to start investing with contributions as low as €40 per month, with the option to adjust their contributions over time depending on their personal circumstances and financial objectives.
In addition to helping customers build long-term savings, the Plan also offers attractive tax benefits. Eligible individuals may benefit from a tax credit equal to 25% of annual contributions, up to a maximum of €750 per year, in accordance with applicable tax legislation. Under current legislation, customers may receive up to 30% of their pension fund as a tax-free lump sum when retirement benefits are triggered.
