Dr. Christian Bonnici West is currently a member of the Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime Committee and Technology and Digital Strategy Committee.
Dr. Bonnici West is also a resident academic in the Insurance and Risk Management Department at the Faculty of Economics, Management, and Accountancy, University of Malta. His interdisciplinary research spans consent, privacy, surveillance, risk management, emerging technologies, strategy, and management systems.
Over the years, Dr. Bonnici West has accumulated extensive professional experience in Information Security and Privacy Management. His work includes roles in the gaming industry, Public Key Infrastructure projects, IT compliance in the pharmaceutical sector, and consultancy and auditing within a Big 4 environment. He served on the Maltese National Cyber Security Steering Committee and is currently a Council Member of the Malta Association of Risk Management.
Dr. Bonnici West holds a Ph.D. and MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Dr Bonnici West was appointed to the Board in May 2024.
