Dats So Cool Wins BOV Tazza l-Kbira 2025
In a spectacular display of speed and endurance, Dats So Cool has claimed victory in the prestigious BOV Tazza l-Kbira 2025. In the final held during the race meeting of the 13th April 2025 at the Marsa Race Track, Dats So Cool cross the finish line first, securing the coveted title in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Owned by SRF Stables and driven by Jesmar Gafa, Dats So Cool finished the race over the traditional distance of 2640 metres with a total time of 3’13”441 averaging 1’13”3 per kilometre. Dats So Cool outpaced the competitive field of Premier Class horses winning the most prestigious race in Malta’s trotting calendar finishing ahead of second placed Al Capone Stecca and Extra du Chatelet in third place.
The BOV Tazza l-Kbira, one of the most anticipated events in the Maltese horse racing calendar, saw 79 premier class horses contending for the top prize with 12 horses competing in the final delivering thrilling moments and showcasing the finest in equestrian talent.
Kenneth Farrugia, Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Valletta and Matthew Brincat, President of Malta Equidrome, in the presence of the Hon Clifton Grima, Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation presented the coveted historic trophy to the winner.
