BOV Basketball Players of the Month – January 2025
Versatile Hibernians foreign import Tederick Wolf won the individual award for the BOV Basketball First Division. The 6’5 player joined Hibernians at the beginning of the season having played with Mellieha last year. His efficiency in the field is backed up with a 74% success field goal percentage averaging 26.33 points per game.
Luxol’s American import Brandi Huffhines won the BOV Basketball Player of the Month in the women’s category. The guard from Rio Linda, California, in her first season outside the States is proving lethal from the distance sinking 24 treys from 41 attempts (59%) from her total of 103 points from 4 games.
Starlites’ Luke Attard was the best performing player in the BOV Amateur League. Starlites were unbeaten in their 3 outings during January where Attard contributed 52 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
The custom made BOV Basketball Player of the Month trophies were presented to the winners by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta.
The BOV Basketball Players of the Month award is a collaboration between Bank of Valletta and the Malta Basketball Association to promote excellence in sports in an ethical and responsible manner.
