BOV Basketball players of the month

Malik Riddle (Athleta) is the BOV Basketball Player of the Month for November and while Hibernians’ Mason Hix won the award for December. Tayler Bennett (Luxol) won the award for the Women’s division and Fusion’s Miladin Cubic landed the award for the BOV Amateur League.

Malik Riddle scored 128 points during November. The 6’4” American guard was the league’s top 3-point shooter during November netting 13 from 39 while and also played the most time with 156.17 minutes in 4 games averaging 39.04 minutes per game. He also averaged 3 steals and suffered 5.5 fouls per game.

26-year-old Tayler Bennett from Fountain Valley California netted 94 points during November. The 5’8” guard averaged 49% from the court and 31% from the distance netting 11 3-pointers from 36 attempts.

Hailing from Serbia, Fusion’s Miladin Cubic won the award for November for the BOV Amateur League averaging 72% 2-point shots, and 36% from the distance for a total of 124 points during the month.

Hibernians’ Mason Hix averaged 23.5 points per game during December complemented by 5.3 assists and 13 rebounds per game completing a double-double in each game during the month landing him the individual award for the month.

Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta presented the winners with a commemorative memento for their achievements. Bank of Valletta’s is this year celebrating its 50th year anniversary and continues to support local sports in line with its commitment to play a very active role in the community in which it operates.
