BOV and the MFA sign new collaboration agreement
As the most popular sporting discipline with the highest participation in Malta, Football has the power to unite the community, while improving the health of our Nation. This is the basis of the new collaboration between Bank of Valletta and the Malta Football Association.
The new agreement, based on Community Engagement, Inclusivity and Diversity, sustainable coaching and training, resources, and volunteer support was signed by Bank of Valletta CEO Kenneth Farrugia and COO Ernest Agius. MFA President Bjorn Vassallo, and General Secretary Angelo Chetcuti signed the agreement on behalf of the Malta Football Association.
‘The strategy behind this collaboration is for individuals, regardless of gender, race, or religion to build a lifelong relationship with football, with all the personal, physical, and community benefits that it brings along with it’ said the BOV CEO. ‘The Bank’s support will assist the MFA in ensuring that children get early exposure to the sport and can engage in high-quality physical activity while developing an early love for the game, ultimately forming the future stars of the Maltese game.’
‘This year, we at Bank of Valletta are celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and while reflecting on our past achievements and successes, and the contribution to sports and physical wellbeing in our community, we look forward to setting new goals and embracing new challenges and mark today as a testament to an enduring partnership with a new vision that will benefit the Maltese football community,’ continued Mr Farrugia.
‘This year marks the 20th consecutive year of collaboration between the Malta FA and Bank of Valletta. It is a long-standing partnership that benefits the football community, focusing not only on the commercial aspects but mainly on the link between education and sport. Here at the Malta FA, we are very happy to continue doing business with the Bank and look forward to working on many more strategic projects together.’ said the MFA President.
