Neptunes’ captain Jordan Camilleri and Sliema’s Benji Cachia jointly win the BOV Player of the Month award for February 2023.

Cachia was on fire in Sliema’s 3 outings in the BOV Water Polo Winter League during February. Scoring no less than 6 goals in Sliema’s overwhelming 25-9 win over Marsascala and netting 12 goals during the month earning himself a call-up from National Team coach Milan Cirovic for Malta’s World Cup Division B qualification tournament. There he also distinguished himself by scoring in 3 of Malta’s 4 outings during this tournament.

Neptunes’ Jordan Camilleri earned the ‘BOV Player of the Match’ moniker in his team’s 11-8 win over Exiles scoring 5 goals and while providing 4 assists and 4 steals. The Neptunes’ Captain leads his team’s actions and is an inspiration to his younger teammates.

Joe Agius, Chief Technology Officer at Bank of Valletta and Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta presented the trophies to the 2 winners. The trophies are manufactured from fully recycled and recyclable materials in efforts towards a cleaner, greener world.
