Foreign National
Are you a Foreign national (non-EU / non-EEA) and need to open an account?

You need to have a connection with Malta to be able to open an account with Bank of Valletta. 

If you are a non-EU or a non-EEA national, please send us an email on [email protected] or call on 2131 2020 for an appointment.

Apart from this documentation, we will require additional documentation depending on your type of connection with Malta:
  • Working in Malta - Contract of work which must bear the employer's name and address

  • Owning a Property in Malta - Contract of purchase

  • Buying a property in Malta - Preliminary agreement

  • Renting a property in Malta - A valid rental agreement of at least six months
