Cashless payments are the way of the future…but the future is already in the palm of your hands.

How many contacts do you have saved on your mobile phone? Family, friends, business colleagues…

BOV Mobile Pay allows you to send money to anyone of your contacts, instantly and securely, directly into their BOV Mobile Pay Account, even when you don’t have their account details.

Need to split the bill at the restaurant?
Just select your contact from the contacts list and send the money to the person paying the bill. No more fiddling with cash and change: your friend gets paid immediately and receives an SMS directly from BOV to confirm receipt. It’s as easy as sending an SMS.

And if it’s someone not yet saved to your contacts list?
Not a problem - provided that they too have a BOV Mobile Pay Account, all you need is their mobile phone number and you can pay them directly.

You can also opt to include a message or reference on the payment that you make, which will be displayed on your bank account statement or even send the message to the person you are paying.

How to effect mobile payments?
To effect mobile payments, you need to have an Apple iPhoneTM or AndroidTM smartphone. The BOV Mobile App is free and easy to download and use. All you need is a 3G or WiFi connection enabled on your phone. Simply register for BOV Mobile Pay via BOV Internet Banking, download the BOV Mobile App and start paying.

If you do not have a compatible smartphone, you can still register for BOV Mobile Pay and enjoy the convenience of receiving mobile payments anytime and anywhere.



How to receive mobile payments?

To receive mobile payments, you can use any brand and model of mobile phone as long as it is capable to receive SMS messages. You can upgrade your mobile phone or change your phone number anytime without loss of service - you can either manage the BOV Mobile service yourself via BOV Internet Banking, or else we’ll look after that side of things for you if you prefer to contact BOV Customer Service Centre or visit any BOV branch where our representatives can assist you. A mobile payments service  is available across a range of Apple iPhoneTM and AndroidTM smartphones.
