Bank of Valletta has just launched a new campaign that will reward customers who use their BOV debit or credit card at any Enemed automated self-service pay station during the month of September 2023. Twelve BOV cardholders will be randomly surprised by the VIBE FM team at the petrol station while fueling up their vehicles and presented with Garmin Venu® 2 Plus watches.
Speaking about the initiative, Chris Degabriele, Head of the eBanking function at Bank of Valletta, explained, “As a Bank, one of our goals is to educate the public about the benefits of moving away from cash and using alternative payment solutions. This campaign focuses specifically on encouraging our customers to use their BOV debit and credit cards to purchase fuel. The Bank's card products provide a swift and reliable solution, particularly when loaded to a smart device (phone or watch), whereby payments are processed in seconds, with just a tap of the device at the sales terminal, This completely eliminates the need to carry, or handle cash, at all outlets including petrol stations."
To participate in this promotion, the customer does not have to do anything other than purchase fuel using either the physical BOV cards or a BOV card stored in an eWallet on a smart device. On doing so, a customer is automatically participating and can be randomly selected to win one prize, irrespective of the number of transactions. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
“As the payment landscape continues to evolve, Bank of Valletta is committed to adapt and reap any benefits from digital solutions to support day-to-day banking and financial management, both from a business and a customer perspective,” said Mr Degabriele, who also explained his satisfaction that more and more customers are opting to swap their cash payments to digital alternatives. He reiterated the Bank’s commitment to driving digital banking solutions to business and personal customers.
