L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign exceeds previous year’s mark
26 Dec 2020

BOV presents over quarter of a million to L-Istrina

Maltese solidarity came to the fore through the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign. Despite the current situation due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, students in primary and secondary schools over Malta and Gozo collected the sum of €54,200 towards the l-Istrina effort.

BOV Director Anita Mangion, accompanied by Charles Azzopardi, Executive PR and Marketing at Bank of Valletta presented the sum collected together with a €200,000 through the Bank’s Community Programme during the live broadcast of L-Istrina.

‘Although the COVID-19 pandemic has changed almost every aspects of life as we know it, the younger generation, with the support of their parents has come together with the ultimate aim of helping the mission of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation’ said Ms Mangion. ‘It is moments like these that remind us of the strong sense of Community that has been a trademark of the Maltese Islands throughout the years, and we take this opportunity to thank all those who helped in making this campaign a success.’

The L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign is an integral part of the Istrina effort and has contributed well over 2 million euro to l-Istrina over the last 17 years.
