Bank of Valletta has recently set out a branch renovation project which will see the largest fleet of bank branches get a modernized look. Following the opening of the new Sliema flagship branch and the initiation of refurbishment works on Paola Branch, Żurrieq Branch will be the next to be renovated.
“Our mission is to tailor experiences that service the needs of today’s customers,” said Kenneth Farrugia, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Bank of Valletta. As the Bank takes forward its BOV 2023 strategy, a specifically deployed team of Retail Network specialists is implementing this project to holistically redesign key customer touchpoints and transform them into customer-centric banking hubs. “A substantial segment of our customers are still visiting our branches, and these customers remain at the core of our long-term strategic vision.”
Due to extensive works and mindful of the safety of its customers, BOV Żurrieq Branch will be temporarily closed as from the 20th September 2021 for approximately 3 months. Cashiering services will be provided from Mqabba Branch from Monday to Saturday between 8:30am and 12:00pm. Non-cashier services such as home loans, personal loans, investments and applications for new services will be available by appointment from BOV Mqabba Branch.
The ATM located at the Zurrieq Branch will remain in service for customers’ availability. Other nearby ATMs are located at Ħal Safi (Triq il-Hajt Ruman) and at the BOV Mqabba, Luqa and Skyparks Branches. Customers are encouraged to use BOV Cards to effect payments and the BOV Internet and Mobile Banking to carry out their daily banking requirements for a faster and more convenient manner.
Bank of Valletta would like to apologise to its customers for the inconvenience caused and to thank them for their kind patience and understanding.
“Over the past months we have been working intensively to streamline, reinforce and standardise our branch experience. The positive feedback we’ve already received on the new Sliema branch bolsters our confidence in this renovation project. Customers will be greeted in a more appealing, welcoming and modern banking environment” concluded Farrugia.
