Hibernians’ Chad Patus is the BOV Basketball Men’s 1st Division player of the Month for October 2018. Chad has established himself as one of the top players in the local league, with consistent high level performances that have earned him his seventh individual award here in Malta. Chad averaged 23 points per game totalling 117 points in 5 matches with 70% from the field and 61% from the free shot line.
Amelia Simmons, another fixture in Malta’s Basketball scene won her fifth individual award this month. The league leader in rebounds, with 11.4 per game, her 25.6 ppg (128 in 5 games) with 52 from 84 from the field and 21 from 25 free shots earned her this month’s award.
Siggiewi’s Aleksandar Novakovic won the award for the BOV Men’s Amateur League. Hailing from Serbia, Novakovic was the month’s top scorer in his division with an average of 32.25 points per game (129 points per game) while averaging 3.5 steals per game throughout the season so far.
