What is changing?
Existing national euro credit transfer and direct debit schemes will be replaced by SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) schemes.

Furthermore, the Regulation requires the use of certian common standards, such as the use of International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) and the Bank Identifier Code (BIC), when making and receiving SEPA payments.

As a consumer, when making a SEPA payment you will basically follow the same steps you used to before when making a national payment. The diference is the use of the IBAN and BIC.
