To learn more about SEPA
The Single Euro Payments Area or SEPA is the area where citizens, companies and other economic participants make and receive payments in euro, whether between or within national boundaries, under the same basic conditions, rights and obligations
What is an IBAN?
IBAN stands for ‘International Bank Account Number’, and is the international standard for quoting bank accounts. Additional characters are added to your existing bank account number to form a verifiable and unique IBAN for each account that is already in place.

The following is an example of a BOV IBAN and its components.

Your BOV IBAN is found on bank statements, which are also available on BOV 24x7. Alternatively, Bank of Valletta, provides an IBAN Validator / Converter, whereby one may either key-in a BOV bank account number and is prompted with the corresponding IBAN, or else validates / confirms a BOV IBAN.
