Bank of Valletta is supporting ‘Taht il-Mija’, a collective art exhibition that will see a large number of local and foreign artists exhibiting their works under one roof. A unique feature of this exhibition is that each artist will exhibit only one piece of work and each piece cannot be priced higher then €99.

Charles Azzopardi, Manager Marketing at Bank of Valletta met Marika Azzopardi, Curator of the exhibition at the exhibition venue. “Creating more awareness and raising the profile of the Maltese Artist are the basis of Bank of Valletta’s commitment towards the local arts and culture”, said Mr Azzopardi. “We commend this artistic initiative that makes owning an original piece of art more accessible to the general public”.
“The concept of this exhibition is to bring local art closer to the people”, commented Ms Azzopardi. “Visitors will be able to purchase an original work of art at an affordable price,” commented Ms Azzopardi. “The challenge on the artists was to create an artistic piece, in their favourite medium with little monetary input yet of a level that the public would want to own”.

‘Taht il-Mija’ is being inaugurated by the curator at the Malta Society of Art, Manufactures and Commerce in Palazzo de la Salle in Valletta on the 8th July 2010 and will be open to the public from the 9th July 2010, from Mondays to Saturdays until the 27th July 2010 except on the 10th July 2010.
