Bank of Valletta recently renewed its sponsorship of the Dean’s List, a prestigious list compiled every year by the Malta University Faculty of Arts to honour students who achieve ‘A’ grades in a minimum of 80 credits during the first two years of their course.
The students who made it to this year’s prestigious list are Ms Simone Azzopardi, Ms Christine Cassar, Mr Jurgen Gatt and Mr Andrea Pace. These students will be graduating in November 2010.
Odilon Scerri, Branch Manager at Bank of Valletta’s University Branch congratulated the four students during an award presentation that was presided over by the rector Professor Juanito Camilleri, in the presence of Professor Dominic Fenech, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts. “This is the 14th consecutive year that Bank of Valletta is sponsoring this award, which reaffirms the Bank’s commitment to promoting excellence in education”, said Mr Scerri. “This award recognises those students who excel in their field of study and encourages other students to continue to strive for excellence”.
Professor Fenech praised the students for consistently attaining such high grades, without any fails or re-sits. The Rector added his congratulations to these students for their achievement and thanked Bank of Valletta for its long-term support towards this initiative.
